3/4 cup whole milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup melted butter
4 granny smith apples (peeled and diced)
2 tablespoons sugar (for topping)

Sift 3 cups of flour into a bowl.

Add 3/4 cup of sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1/8 teaspoon of cloves to the flour and whisk together.

In a measuring cup, combine 3/4 cup of whole milk, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste. Mix together.

Add 1/2 cup of melted butter to the wet ingredients and stir to combine.

Peel and dice 4 granny smith apples and toss them in the flour mixture to coat.
