Today, they are enjoyed globally, with variations that include different meats and spices, reflecting local tastes.

Add ground beef to a large bowl.
Add ground pork to the bowl.
Add milk to the bowl.
Add chopped onions and garlic to the bowl.
Add 1 egg to the bowl.
Add breadcrumbs to the bowl.
Mix everything until well combined.
Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
Form the mixture into medium-sized meatballs, rolling them in between hands.
Place the meatballs on a plate.
Refrigerate the meatballs for about 2 hours to help them stick together.
Seal the meatballs on all sides in a very hot pan until they build a crust.
Transfer the sealed meatballs to a baking dish.
Bake the meatballs in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit).
In the same pan used for the meatballs, add butter.
Add flour to the pan while stirring constantly.
Once the flour and butter are well combined, add the broth to the pan.
Stir in heavy cream once the broth is incorporated.
Add soy sauce to the sauce mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste.
