Add 2 tablespoons of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of corn flour to the bowl.

Mix the dry ingredients well.

Gradually add 1.5 cups of water while mixing to form a batter.

Transfer the batter to an airtight container and cover it.

Let the batter rest for 1 hour in a warm place.

In a saucepan, add 1 cup of water and lemon juice to prepare the syrup.

Heat the mixture until it reaches a boil, then remove from heat and let it cool.

For frying, heat oil in a deep pan.

Use a spoon to drop the batter into the hot oil, or use your hands to form small dumplings and drop them in.

Fry until golden brown, stirring occasionally for even cooking.

Remove the fried dumplings and let them drain on paper towels.

Serve with honey, condensed milk, or chocolate sauce.
