Black Bean Burger

2 tins of black beans
1 medium carrot
1 medium onion
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp of salt
a good pinch of pepper
1 tsp of onion powder
1.5 tsps paprika
1 tsp cumin
1 tablespoon of soy sauce or bbq sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
100g roughly chopped oats
2 eggs

Drain and rinse the black beans, then dry them out to remove excess moisture.

In a mixing bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.

Grate the medium carrot and finely chop the medium onion and garlic cloves, then add them to the mashed beans.

Season the mixture with salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, cumin, soy sauce or BBQ sauce, and dried oregano.

Stir in the roughly chopped oats and eggs until well combined.

Form the mixture into burger patties.

Cook the patties on a grill or in a pan until they are heated through and have a nice crust.
