Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
Place the 2 pounds of salmon on the lined baking sheet.
Add salt and black pepper to the salmon.
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, juice of 1 lemon, and a little salt and pepper, whisking until well combined.
Fold the edges of the aluminum foil or parchment paper to keep the juices inside.
Pour the glaze over the salmon.
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
While the salmon is baking, prepare asparagus by snapping off the ends and placing them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper, tossing to coat.
Add the asparagus to a baking sheet or air fryer and cook at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove the salmon from the oven about 5 minutes before it's done and baste the sauce back on top.
Turn the oven to broil and return the salmon to the oven for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with lemon and fresh parsley.
