4 ripe bananas
1/2 cup almond milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup cocoa powder (optional)
1/4 cup peanut butter (optional)
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into small pieces.

Place the banana slices in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours until solid.

Once frozen, transfer the banana slices to a food processor.

Add almond milk and vanilla extract to the food processor with the frozen bananas.

Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

If desired, add cocoa powder or peanut butter for flavor and blend again until fully incorporated.

Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary (you can add a little honey or maple syrup if desired).

Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture or transfer to a container and freeze for an additional hour for a firmer texture.
