Traditionally served during special occasions and celebrations, it reflects the rich culinary heritage of Turkey. Today, baklava is enjoyed worldwide, with regional variations that include different nuts and spices, making it a beloved treat across cultures.

Break 2 eggs into a bowl.
Add grape vinegar, yogurt, milk, liquid sunflower oil, and salt to the eggs.
Add baking powder and lemon juice to the mixture.
Mix the liquid ingredients together.
Add 500 grams of flour to the mixture and mix with a spoon.
Add the remaining flour until a total of 650 grams is used and the dough thickens.
Place the dough on the kitchen counter, sprinkle some flour, and knead until smooth.
Prepare 80-85 grams of dough balls, roll them, and place them in a bowl.
Sprinkle flour over the dough balls, cover, and let them rest for at least 45 minutes.
Roll out the first dough ball to about 20 centimeters in length, adding flour between layers to avoid sticking.
For the second dough stage, roll out the dough using a small rolling pin, adding cornstarch between layers.
In the third dough stage, open the dough by pressing from the middle to the edges.
Prepare the sherbet by adding sugar, water, and a thin slice of lemon to a deep pan and heat over medium until sugar dissolves.
Melt the butter slightly and boil the syrup for 10 minutes before turning off the heat.
If using raw hazelnuts, roast and cool them beforehand.
Blend walnuts with a little vanilla, then blend hazelnuts with vanilla, and finally blend pistachios with vanilla.
Grease the baking tray with butter.
Apply butter to the baklava dough with a brush.
Add the mixture of walnuts and hazelnuts to the middle of the dough and fold the edges.
Roll the dough with a rolling pin, squeeze it, and remove the rolling pin.
Shape the curled baklava dough spirally and place it in the baking tray.
Apply butter on the baklava pieces.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
If baking two trays, place the browned ones at the bottom of the oven for even browning.
Immediately pour the boiling sherbet over the baked baklava.
If you want syrup inside, cut the baklava into 4 pieces before cooking.
Serve with additional walnuts and hazelnuts, and let it cool slightly or eat hot.
Add some sherbet on the plate and on the baklava before serving.
