3 cups long grain par-boiled brown rice
1 cup coconut milk
1 chopped scallion
fresh ground black pepper
1 tablespoon ground allspice
1/4 habanero pepper (no seeds)
salt (to taste)

water (to top up)

Wash the rice until the water runs clear.

Add the washed rice to the rice cooker container.

Pour in 1 cup of coconut milk.

Add 1 chopped scallion.

Add fresh ground black pepper to taste.

Add 1 tablespoon of ground allspice.

Add about 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme (on the twigs).

Add 1/4 of a habanero pepper (no seeds).

Add salt to taste.

Add 1 cup of canned red beans.

Mix all the ingredients together in the rice cooker.

Top up with water according to the rice cooker instructions, plus an additional 1/2 cup of water.

Set the rice cooker to the cook setting and let it cook.
