Add spices: cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt; mix well and cook for 3 more minutes.

In the same pan, add 1 medium sliced onion and sauté for 1 minute.

Add the spices: curry powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, 3 cardamom pods, and 8 black peppercorns; mix well.

Add 1/2 cup of water; cover and cook for about 10 minutes on medium-low heat until the chicken is tender.
