11 oz beef tongue (thinly sliced)

1 Tbsp oil
lettuce leaves
lemon wedges
1 long white onion (chopped finely)
1 clove garlic (grated)
2 Tbsp sake
2 Tbsp water
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sesame oil

Put all the ingredients for the onion salt sauce in a pot. Stir constantly and let it boil for a minute. Remove from heat and set aside.

Sprinkle salt and pepper over the slices of beef tongue. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the slices in a single layer until lightly browned on one side. Then, flip them over and cook until the other side is also lightly browned.

Plate the cooked beef tongue with lettuce leaves and lemon wedges for garnish. Then, pour the prepared onion salt sauce over the beef tongue.
