Combine the dry ingredients: 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 cup of ground almonds in a bowl and whisk together.
Cream the butter in a mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs to the creamed butter and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, a few spoons at a time, and blend until a dough forms.
Cover the dough with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
After chilling, roll the dough into a sausage shape approximately 3-4 centimeters in diameter.
Cut the dough into equal pieces, about half an inch thick.
Roll each piece into a ball, then shape it into a crescent and place it on a lined baking tray.
Preheat the oven to 175°C (approximately 345°F).
Bake the cookies for 5-6 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.
While still warm, cover the cookies with a mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.
