  • 1 lb ground pork

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 head of butter lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. 2Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. 3Add the ground pork to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned.
  4. 4Stir in the bell pepper, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the bell pepper is tender.
  5. 5Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped green onions, shredded carrots, and cilantro.
  6. 6To serve, spoon the pork mixture into the lettuce leaves, creating wraps.
  7. 7Garnish with additional green onions or cilantro if desired.
  8. 8Enjoy the wraps fresh, using the lettuce as a vessel for the filling.

  5. 5Add the soy sauce and black pepper, mixing well to combine all ingredients.
  6. 6Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions and cilantro.
  7. 7To serve, spoon the turkey mixture into the lettuce leaves, creating wraps.
