Begin by frying the ground beef in a large pot, mixing it with your hands.

Add a little salt to the beef while it cooks.

Chop 3 large onions into blocky shapes and set aside.

Once the beef is browned, add the chopped onions to the pot.

Mix the onions into the beef and cook until the onions are tender and translucent.

Prepare to add kidney beans and pinto beans; mention that you can use canned or dry beans depending on time.

If using dry beans, note that they are healthier and cheaper, but today canned beans will be used.

After the onions are soft, prepare to add diced tomatoes and chili powder.
