1 kg / 2 lb beef chuck

4 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
1 Liter / 4 cups beef stock/broth
2 carrots
2 potatoes
parsley
4 slices thick-cut bacon
1 green bell pepper
1 1/2 pounds (700 g) Beef Chuck
1/2 tsp caraway seeds
1 large tomato
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp salt
50g / 3 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup (120 ml) warm whole milk

Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large pot over medium heat.

Add 2 onions and cook for about 5 minutes until translucent and slightly golden.

Cut 1 kg / 2 lb beef chuck into chunks approximately 4 cm / 1.5" and season with salt and black pepper.

Add the beef to the pot and stir for about 2-3 minutes.

Add 4 garlic cloves to the pot and stir.

Add 1 bell pepper to the pot.

Add 2 tomatoes to the pot.

Add 2 bay leaves and 1 tsp caraway seeds.

Add 4 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika and 1 Liter / 4 cups beef stock/broth.

Cover the pot with a lid and let it cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours.

Add 2 carrots and 2 potatoes to the pot, cover again, and cook for another 30 minutes.

Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
