Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 0.5 cm thickness.
Cut out shapes using cookie cutters, making pairs for stuffing.
Spread a layer of almond paste on one cookie and top with another to form a sandwich.
Place the stuffed cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
Let cool on a wire rack before dusting with powdered sugar.
