Cut up 4 pounds of potatoes into 1-inch cubes.

Simmer the potatoes in water for about 15 minutes until fork tender.

Add 2 cloves of garlic to the simmering potatoes.

Add a little salt to the potatoes while simmering.

Mash the potatoes with 2 tablespoons of butter, some salt, and fresh ground peppercorn.

Chop up 3/4 to 1 cup of onion.

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a 12-inch black iron frying pan and sauté the chopped onion and 1-2 cloves of garlic until slightly browned.

Add 3.5 pounds of fresh ground beef (80/20) to the pan and cook until browned.

Drain off excess fat from the cooked ground beef using a ladle.

Add 1 teaspoon of salt, a pinch of thyme, a pinch of rosemary, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of fresh ground peppercorn, and 1 tablespoon of ketchup to the beef mixture.

Add beef stock to moisten the mixture as it cooks.

Stir in 1/2 cup of frozen peas and carrots and 1/2 cup of sweet corn.
