Today, this delightful treat is popular not only in Turkey but also in various Middle Eastern countries, with many modern variations incorporating different nuts and flavors.

Add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a mixing bowl.
Add 1 packet of baking powder to the vinegar in the bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture.
Mix well to dissolve the baking powder.
Add 1 egg to the mixture.
Add 1 tea glass of vegetable oil to the mixture.
Add 1 cup of warm water (not cold) to the mixture.
Mix all ingredients until well combined.
Gradually add 3 cups of sifted flour to the mixture, mixing until smooth.
Add a little more flour if needed, totaling about 4.5 cups minus 1 tablespoon.
Knead the dough until it is smooth and not sticky, showing the desired consistency.
Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, then divide each part into 3 smaller pieces.
Cover the pieces with a plastic bag to prevent drying, letting them rest for 30-40 minutes.
Prepare the syrup by adding 5.5 cups of sugar and 5.5 cups of water to a pot.
Add 78 drops of lemon juice to the pot.
Bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook for 18-20 minutes, then remove from heat to cool.
Show the dough consistency after resting, ensuring it is not sticky.
Start rolling out the dough, using 1 tablespoon of starch to prevent sticking.
Roll the dough thinly using a rolling pin, turning it frequently.
Demonstrate the rolling technique, wrapping the dough around a stick.
Show how to properly roll the dough to avoid tearing.
Prepare to layer the pistachios by adding them to the rolled dough.
Add 200 grams of melted butter and 1/2 tea glass of vegetable oil between the layers of dough.
Continue rolling the dough with the pistachios and butter mixture.
Place the rolled dough into a baking tray.
Repeat the process with all dough pieces, ensuring they are well layered.
Cut the rolled dough into 12 pieces, ensuring they are not too small.
Press the edges inward to avoid drying out.
Add any remaining butter scraps on top of the rolled pieces.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, reduce the temperature to 160-170 degrees Celsius and bake for 1.5 hours, checking for doneness.
