Welcome to my channel, Rosie Cooks. I'm making steak and potato skewers.
I have my potatoes and tomatoes. I cubed up my steak into little chunks.
The best steak to use is sirloin, but you could use New York steak or any beef you want.
I'm making a marinade with Italian salad dressing, adding Italian seasonings, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
I'm juicing half a lemon to add to my marinade.
I'm mixing all of this together to create the marinade for my beef.
I'm pouring the marinade over my beef chunks and covering it to marinate for about an hour.
I reserved 1/4 cup of the marinade to pour over my tomatoes for flavor.
I have a stock pot with boiling water and I'm adding my potatoes to par boil them for 8 to 10 minutes.
I want the potatoes to be about 80% cooked but still firm.
I boiled the potatoes for 10 minutes; they are 90% cooked but still firm.
I'm assembling the skewers by grabbing a piece of steak, then a potato, and then a tomato, repeating this process.
I have my skewers ready to go on a stove top grill.
I'm spraying the stove top grill with non-stick spray before placing the skewers on it.
I trimmed the wooden skewers a little to fit them on the grill.
I have the grill on medium heat and I'm cooking the skewers.
The skewers are cooking nicely and looking good.
The beef skewers look beautiful and the meat is very tasty with the marinade.
