Heat 1 quart of milk in a pot until it starts to boil.
Whisk in 1/2 cup of cream of wheat to avoid clumping.
Cook the cream of wheat mixture for about 5 minutes, lowering the heat to prevent boiling over or burning.
Once cooked, turn off the heat and mix in just shy of 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of cardamom.
Add 100 grams of butter to the mixture and stir well, ensuring there are no lumps of cardamom.
Cover the mixture and let it cool for about 30 minutes, until it's not completely cool but not hot to the touch.
Break 3 eggs into the cooled mixture and mix them in thoroughly.
Add 1 cup of plain all-purpose flour to the mixture and stir until combined.
Butter a baking pan and pour the mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
Bake in a 400°F oven for about 40 minutes.
Remove the pancake from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm with plum preserves or strawberry jam and whipped cream.
