1 cup heavy cream
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup bread crumbs
4 tablespoons butter

Peel rutabagas and cut into large cubes.

Boil them about 30 minutes until they are soft.

Drain the water and mash the rutabagas.

Add cream, eggs, syrup, spices, and a third of the bread crumbs.

Make some wavy patterns with a spoon on the surface of the mash.
