Apple Cinnamon Rolls

1 puff pastry sheet
2 apples (grated)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp milk

Wash, peel, and core the apples. Grate them using a coarse grater.

Place the grated apples in a bowl. Add the sugar and cinnamon, then mix well until evenly combined.

Unroll the puff pastry sheet on your work surface, keeping it on its parchment paper.

Spread the apple mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border along one long edge.

Starting from the opposite long side, roll the pastry tightly into a cylinder. Cut the roll into 6 equal swirls.

Place the swirls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, spacing them slightly apart.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of milk until smooth.

Lightly brush the tops and sides of each swirl with the egg wash for a glossy, golden finish.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the swirls are puffed and golden brown.
