HOW TO MAKE APPLE CINNAMON ROLLS /5 MIN RECIPE /HOW TO MAKE FRENCH TOAST ROLLS

- ●2 cups all-purpose flour
- ●1/4 cup granulated sugar
- ●1/2 tsp salt
- ●1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- ●1/2 cup milk
- ●1/4 cup unsalted butter
- ●1 large egg
- ●1 tsp vanilla extract
- ●1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ●1 cup peeled and diced apples
- ●1/4 cup brown sugar
- ●1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- ●1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- ●1-2 tbsp milk (for icing)
Instructions
- 1In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over low heat until warm and butter is melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 2In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and yeast.
- 3Add the warm milk mixture, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- 4Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 6Once risen, roll the dough out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- 7Spread the diced apples evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts if using.
- 8Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
- 9Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- 10Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- 11While the rolls are baking, mix powdered sugar with enough milk to create a smooth icing. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
