Mince 4 large cloves of garlic.

Peel about 2.5 lbs of potatoes.

Quarter the potatoes.

Cook the potatoes and minced garlic in boiling water in a large covered saucepan for about 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Drain the potatoes and garlic.

Add the drained potatoes and garlic to a large mixing bowl.

Beat the potatoes with an electric mixer on medium speed until they're smooth.

Add 1 tbsp of softened butter.

Add an 8 oz tub of Philadelphia chive and onion cream cheese spread.

Add 1 tsp of salt.

Beat the potatoes again until everything is well blended.
