2 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 cup carrots, peeled and chopped
1 cup leeks, chopped
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped (optional)

In a large pot, add the cubed potatoes and chopped carrots. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
