Copycat Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese Deluxe

The Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese originated in the U.S. and has become a staple of fast-food culture since its introduction in the 1970s. This burger is celebrated for its hearty size and combination of flavors, making it a favorite among burger enthusiasts. Today, many home cooks recreate this iconic burger, customizing it to their taste while maintaining its classic essence.
Put on gloves before cooking.
Gather ingredients: 1 pound of 80/20 ground beef, white onions, dill pickle chips, B's head American cheese, Duk's mayo, Water Burger ketchup, yellow mustard, shredded lettuce, sesame seed buns, salt, pepper, and butter.
Heat the griddle on low with all three burners on.
Butter the sesame seed buns and place them on the griddle to toast.
Check the buns after a minute, adjusting their position as needed to ensure even toasting.
Form the ground beef into balls and place them on the griddle, pressing them down slightly to form thicker patties.
Cook the patties until juices start to rise and the sides begin to brown, about 2-3 minutes before flipping.
Flip the patties and season with salt and pepper, allowing them to cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Place American cheese on the patties to melt slightly before removing them from the griddle.
Build the burger by spreading a dollop of mayo on the bottom bun, followed by a swirl of ketchup and mustard.
Add sliced tomato, dill pickles, and onion on top of the condiments.
Place the cooked patties on top of the veggies, followed by shredded lettuce and the top bun.
Cut the burger in half to serve.
