Stuffed Jalapeños

12 large jalapeño peppers
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.

If using, fold in the chopped cilantro into the cheese mixture.

Using a spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, packing it in well.

Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
