1 cup cream or half and half
1 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1/3 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)

Open the lid and stir in the cream. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes, and adjust salt and pepper to your taste.

Using a hand blender or a food processor, puree the soup until smooth, or leave some chunky mushroom parts if desired.
