1 Bunch Swiss Chards (Red, White or Yellow)
3 tbsp Oil
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
2 pinches Hing/Asafoetida
2 Green Chillies (Chopped)
2 tbsps freshly pounded Garlic
Salt to taste

Thoroughly wash the Swiss Chards and chop off the bottom of the stalks.

Defiber all the stalks one at a time.

Chop up the defibered stalks.

Then chop up the leaves and keep them separately.

Heat Oil in the pan and make a tempering of mustard and cumin seeds with the Hing.

Then add the green chillies and saute for a few seconds.

Then add the garlic and saute till they start browning.

Add the chopped stalks, give them a quick stir and add 1/4 tsp salt and mix it in.

Then add 3-4 tbsp of water and cover and cook till the stalks become tender.

Then open and add the chopped leaves.

Saute till the leaves wilt.

Then add salt to taste and again cover and cook for 3-4 mins or till done.
