1.5 kg peeled potatoes
350 g onions (300 g fried, 50 g grated with potatoes)
300-400 g boiled-smoked bacon (can be replaced with fresh bacon 250 g)
2 eggs
100 ml milk
1/3 tsp black ground pepper
1 tbsp salt (17 g)

Fry the onions and bacon until golden brown.

Grate the potatoes and 50 g of onion using a grater for draniki (potato pancakes).

Drain 3-4 tablespoons of liquid from the potato mixture, add eggs, milk, and spices, and mix well. Add the fried onions and bacon, and mix thoroughly.

Pour into a greased baking dish, cover with a lid or foil.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 70-80 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes. Serve with sour cream.
