Cut the crust off of three slices of bread and save the crust for croutons or breadcrumbs.
Cut the bread into small pieces and place it into a bowl.
Add milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, diced onions, chopped parsley, garlic cloves, grated parmesan, and one large egg to the bowl.
Let the mixture absorb for about five minutes and then mash it up with a kitchen device.
Add 1.25 pounds of ground beef and 1 pound of Italian sausage to the bowl.
Adjust seasoning according to the meat used and mix well, being careful not to overmix.
Scoop out the mixture using an ice cream scoop or spoon to form meatballs, trying to keep them close in size.
Preheat a skillet to medium heat and place the meatballs in the pan, sautéing them.
Turn the meatballs every few minutes to get a nice color on each side, ensuring they reach a safe internal temperature of 160°F.
Once browned, create a pocket in each dinner roll for the meatball.
Lightly coat the meatballs with marinara sauce.
Mix garlic powder into melted butter and brush it generously over the top of the bread.
Pop a meatball into each roll and top with a spoonful of marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Place the rolls into a preheated oven at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
Top with parsley before serving.
