Instructions

  1. 1Slice beef flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. 3Add sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  4. 4Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. 5Add marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. 6Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  7. 7In the same skillet, add minced ginger and garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

  3. 3Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. 4In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the garlic, ginger, and onion, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. 5Add the mixed bell peppers and broccoli to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
