Place the short ribs in a crock pot; if not using a crock pot, place them in an oven-safe dish or casserole.

Add 600 ml of veal broth and 330 ml of cola to the pot or dish.

Cover and cook on high in the crock pot for 4.25 hours, or preheat the oven to 140C/280F and roast for 4 hours, basting every 20-30 minutes.

After cooking, ladle the sauce base (cooking liquid) into a pan over high heat and bring to a boil.

Reduce the sauce to half its amount, then mix 2 tablespoons of corn starch with 2 tablespoons of water and add to the sauce; season with salt and pepper.
