Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan over medium heat.
Add 1 cup of semolina (rava) to the pan and roast until it turns golden brown, stirring continuously.
In a separate pot, boil 1 cup of water.
Once the semolina is roasted, slowly add the boiling water to the pan, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Add 1 cup of sugar to the mixture and stir until it dissolves completely.
Cook the mixture until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
