8 - 10 slices of deli ham
8 - 10 slices of Swiss cheese

Whole wheat bread adds fiber, while French bread is more accessible.

Swiss cheese

🥗Healthier: low-fat cheese

💰Cheaper: American cheese

Low-fat cheese reduces calories, and American cheese is often cheaper.

roast pork

🥗Healthier: grilled chicken

💰Cheaper: pork shoulder

Grilled chicken is leaner, while pork shoulder is more affordable.

ham

🥗Healthier: turkey ham

💰Cheaper: bologna

Turkey ham is lower in fat, and bologna is a budget-friendly alternative.

1

In a large pan, add pork and Mojo marinade. Cook on medium/low heat. Bring to a simmer.

2

Mix the mayonnaise and mustard together.

3

Slice the bread lengthwise and spread an even layer of the mayo-mustard mixture on both the top and bottom halves.

4

Drain the pork and add an even layer to the bottom half of the bread. Top with ham slices, cheese and pickles.

5

Add the top half of the bread and press down. If using Cuban bread, cut to serving size.

6

Spray nonstick cooking spray on a sheet of aluminum foil. Wrap the Cuban. Cook for 3 - 4 minutes on each side using something heavy to press down. Or use a sandwich press.

7

Cut in half and enjoy!
