Roasted Turkey in a Bag

1 stick butter
dirty bird rub
carrots

Chop up carrots, celery, and onion.

Melt 1 stick of butter in a small bowl.

Add dirty bird rub to the melted butter and mix.

Slather the butter mixture all over the turkey, getting under the skin and on the legs and wings.

Stuff the turkey with aromatics: thyme, rosemary, lemon, and garlic.

Tie up the turkey legs.

Set the turkey aside.

Use an oven-safe bag for roasting, not a regular bag.

Place the bag in a roasting pan.

Add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the bag and shake it.

Add the chopped veggies to the bag.

Place the turkey inside the bag and secure it by twisting the top and tying it tight.

Cut six small slits around the bag.

Bake the turkey at 350°F for 3 to 4 hours, or 15 minutes per pound.

Once done, let the turkey rest for at least 30 minutes.
