This dessert is a delightful way to celebrate summer's bounty and is often enjoyed at gatherings and special occasions. Today, it has found its way into various cuisines, with many variations using different fruits.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Wash and halve the mirabelle plums, removing the pits.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat until bubbling.
Add sugar to the skillet and stir until dissolved, creating a caramel.
Add the mirabelle plums cut side down into the caramel and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.
Prepare the pastry by using the masa quebrada.
Pour the pastry over the caramelized plums in the skillet.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
Invert the tart onto a serving plate, allowing the plums to be on top.
