Add 3/4 cup of chopped onion, 3 cloves of chopped garlic, 3/4 cup of chopped green bell pepper, and 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce to the pot; stir and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add 4 cups of water to the pot, stir, and cover; cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.

Check the meat for tenderness; if not soft, add 1 more cup of water and cover to cook for an additional 20 minutes.
