Heat oil in a large pot and add cloves, cumin seeds, black cardamom, cinnamon stick, black pepper, green cardamom, star anise, and bay leaf. Sauté until fragrant.

Mix in black cumin seeds powder, whole spices powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Stir well.

Add curry leaves and Bombay Biryani masala, cooking for a few minutes.

Add sliced tomatoes and yogurt, stirring to combine.

Pour in water and bring to a boil.

Add soaked basmati rice and enough water to cover. Season with salt and whole spices.

Cover and cook until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.

Garnish with lemon slices, fried onions, mint, and coriander leaves before serving.
