In a pan, combine unrefined castor sugar, butter, and golden syrup.
Bring the mixture to a simmer until it becomes liquid.

Add 4 eggs directly into the pan without whisking them first, then turn off the heat to avoid scrambling the eggs.
Whisk the eggs into the mixture until it becomes glossy and smooth.
Add plain flour to the mixture, being careful not to overmix.
Line a baking pan with baking parchment, making sure to cover the sides.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and give it a tap to settle.
Bake in the oven at 170°C for 25 minutes.
Let the brownies cool completely, then refrigerate them overnight before serving.
