Season the salmon with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Preheat a large skillet over medium heat for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Add olive oil and about a tablespoon of butter to the skillet.
Once the oil is shimmering and the butter is melted, place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet.
Increase the heat to high.
Cook the salmon for about 3 minutes or until it easily releases from the pan when lifted with a fish spatula.
Turn the salmon over and continue to cook until it flakes easily with a fork, approximately 4 to 5 minutes longer.
Transfer the salmon to a platter and keep it warm.
For the pan sauce, add the remaining butter to the pan and turn the heat to medium high.
Add lemon zest and lemon juice, stir in the garlic, and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the chopped dill and parsley and stir to combine.
Drizzle the pan sauce over the salmon before serving.
