Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a spoon or fork handle.
Rub a thin layer of olive oil or mustard on the ribs.
Apply the dry rub seasoning evenly over the ribs, ensuring to cover all sides.
Preheat the pellet grill to the desired temperature and add mesquite wood pellets for smoking.
Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about 3 hours using indirect heat.
Prepare the barbecue sauce by mixing two parts of store-bought barbecue sauce with one part of maple syrup.
After 3 hours, brush the ribs with the barbecue sauce mixture and close the grill lid.
Let the sauce caramelize for about 10 minutes before removing the ribs from the grill.
Check if the ribs are done by testing the tenderness with a thermometer or by using tongs to see if the meat pulls away from the bone.
