Crockpot Pulled Pork

8-10 pounds pork shoulder or pork butt
3 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons chili powder
3 tablespoons paprika
3 tablespoons onion powder
3 tablespoons cumin
1 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 cup beef stock

Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crockpot.

Rub the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using).

Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic in the crockpot.

In a separate bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, chicken broth, and brown sugar.

Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the pork in the crockpot.

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

Once cooked, remove the pork from the crockpot and shred it using two forks.

Return the shredded pork to the crockpot and mix it with the remaining sauce.

Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
