Soak yellow yam and Irish potato in water to prevent oxidization.

Cut ingredients small for the fish tea.

Prepare boiled dumplings (dough already made).

Gather vegetables: carrot, pumpkin, chocho, okra.

Prepare herbs and spices: onion, garlic, scallion, thyme, pimento, Scotch bonnet pepper, and fish tea soup mix.

Clean and season fish with lime juice, all-purpose seasoning, black pepper, and salt.

Marinate fish for 10 to 15 minutes.

Boil 3 liters of water in a pot and add the seasoned fish.

Boil fish for 5 minutes, then remove it to debone.

Add pumpkin, Irish potato, chocho, and carrot to the pot.

Add fish tea soup mix (noodles sifted out).

Cook for about 20 minutes.

Add okra and salt towards the end of cooking.

Debone the fish and add it back to the soup for a minute or two.
