The stew is often served with rice and beans, creating a hearty meal that nourishes both body and soul. Today, variations exist worldwide, as people adapt the recipe to local tastes while honoring its roots.

Cook seasoned beef chunks, turkey neck, and beef feet in a crock pot overnight.
Add about a cup and a half of water to the cooked meat and simmer for about 45 minutes.
Saute the cooked meat in oil and tomato sauce until it gets a nice color.
Add the water used to cook the beef feet into the pot with the meat.
Peel and prepare green plantain, carrot, potato, and malanga for the stew.
Wash and cut watercress and sweet potato, then add all the vegetables into the stew.
Prepare dumpling dough using flour, salt, and water until it reaches a rollable consistency.
Add the dumplings into the stew and let it cook for about 30 minutes or until the dumplings are cooked.
Stir in dry ingredients: adobo, double complement seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika into the stew.
