2 pounds of stewing beef cubed
1 beef kidney cleaned fat removed soaked in salt water for 2 hours and drained and cubed
2 medium onions sliced
1/2 cup of dried apricots soaked in water for one hour
4 medium potatoes peeled and halved
2 sweet potatoes peeled and sliced
6 zucchini sliced
about 2 cups of cabbage shredded
1 tomato peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
2 tablespoons of canola oil
black pepper to taste
1/2 a cup of sweet sherry
1/2 a cup of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 tablespoon of dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon of dry rosemary
1/4 teaspoon of dry thyme
1 cube of beef stock
2 cups of boiling water
