2 cups warm milk

Boil water in a pot and add the chuck tender roast, onion, garlic; let it come to a boil.

Skim the foam formed on top of the pot, reduce heat to medium, add salt, beef bouillon, and black pepper; cover and let it cook for 2-3 hours or until the meat is nice and tender.

For the sauce, heat oil in a pan, add flour, and stir to make a roux.

Add the New Mexico chile pods, garlic cloves, bay leaves, broth, New Mexico chile powder, oregano, and cumin to the roux; simmer until thickened.

Prepare the fry bread dough by mixing flour, baking powder, salt, shortening, and warm milk; knead and roll out into flat circles.
