Add ground beef and ground pork; cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.
Pour in red wine; simmer until reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
Stir in canned tomatoes and tomato paste; mix well to combine.
Add bay leaves, salt, and black pepper; bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat to low; cover and let simmer for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Add milk to the sauce; simmer for an additional 30 minutes to enhance flavor.
Remove bay leaves before serving; stir in fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
