These soft, chewy morsels are traditionally served with mustard or cheese dip, making them a perfect companion for social gatherings. Today, pretzel bites have gained popularity worldwide, appearing at sporting events and casual parties.

Whole wheat flour adds fiber while bread flour can enhance texture.

Nutritional yeast offers a cheesy flavor with fewer calories.
Heat warm water to 40°C / 110°F.
Add sugar and dry yeast to the warm water and let it sit for 10 minutes.
In a bowl, combine flour and salt.
Add the yeast mixture and oil to the flour and salt.
Knead the dough by hand for 12 minutes or in a stand mixer for 7 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Divide the risen dough into 6 pieces.
Prepare a baking soda bath with almost boiling water at 90°C / 190°F.
Dunk each piece of dough in the baking soda bath for no more than 30 seconds, ensuring they are covered with water.
Bake the pretzel bites in the oven at 200°C / 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
Prepare cinnamon sugar while the pretzel bites are baking.
Brush the baked pretzel bites with melted butter and coat them with cinnamon sugar.
