Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
In a mixing bowl, beat together Nutella, unsalted butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
Gradually add heavy cream and beat until fluffy.
Once cakes are cool, spread Nutella buttercream between layers and on top.
Decorate as desired and serve.
