Cut up the mushrooms, onions, Swede, and carrots into nice chunks.

Make up 1.5 liters of beef stock, ensuring the stock cube or pot is totally dissolved.

In a casserole dish, spread fry light and add the beef chunks.

Gently cook the beef chunks until they start to brown evenly.

Add the onions and mushrooms to the browned beef and mix.

Add the cut-up carrots and Swede, then mix everything together.

Pour in all of the beef stock and stir.

Add salt, pepper, and mixed herbs, then mix everything together.

Pop the lid on and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.

After 2 hours, take off the lid and give it one final stir.
